Really now, Lucky?

It’s official: The Celtics are anything but.

Fans will complain that the Celts got what they deserved when they semi-tanked it the last two months of the season when it became apparent they weren’t a playoff team. But you can’t blame them. For the chance to get Greg Oden or Kevin Durant, you had to take that chance.

What happens now?

Obviously, adding a fifth overall pick to this collection of talent will help. But will it get the Celtics on the road to a championship. We will talk more about the draft when it gets closer and discuss possible picks.

It appears to be time to bring in a veteran with star quality, to mix with this young group on the Celtics.

If we can surmise that Al Jefferson is untouchable, after that the only young C’s other teams would be interested in as value are Gerald Green and Tony Allen. Delonte West, Kendrick Perkins, and Rajon Rondo are decent throw-ins.

Is there a veteran out there that could make a difference?

Let me know your thoughts on the Celtics plight.
