While "classy" might not always be the best description of Red Sox fans -- didn't Joe Torre call you guys "the angriest" fans in baseball -- they usually know a good thing when they see it. Verlander kept fans in the game because everyone wanted to see how hard he was throwing on the small scoreboad on the first and third base lines. They knew they saw a great performance.
