We have an answer.Find out here. One of the interesting notes I got out of this subject was where Papelbon releases the ball. As pitching coach John Farrell points out when he lets go of the ball it is directly out in front of his body, which often can blend in with the uniform.

It’s raining at Fenway Park (sorry to let you down). Daisuke Matsuzaka is out of the game after giving up one run over seven innings. Will give complete breakdown shortly, but here is something to help paint the picture:- Of his 108 pitches, 49 were fastballs.- Of his 10 strikeouts five were finished off on fastballs.- And how about the fact he notched first-pitch strikes on 20 of his 26 batters, including the last seven Royals he faced?… continued »
