Pitching in

I was trying to think of a time when the Red Sox entered a Yankees series with as much optimism as there will be this weekend, based primarily on the set-up of Boston’s starting rotation. Considering the Sox pitchers have now gone nine straight games without giving up more than three runs (the longest since Apri 11-25, 1988), finding such hurling hope in a previous NY showdown might be tough to remember.

Cora, Cora, Cora!

Alex Cora joined Manny Ramirez in serving as today’s Red Sox hero. It was Manny who hit the game-tying home run, but Cora who supplied the game-winner via a triple to the left-center field gap.

A busy week

The blood has started to re-emerge in my legs and fingers after a horrific 26.2 miles the other day and I am ready to jump back aboard the blogging bandwagon. (In summary, I think I going to start concentrating on getting a fake ID for Masters sprint competitions.)
