Great story re: playing in Boston. I know you probably have absolutely nothing to do with the headlines/artwork that are involved, but could you please explain to whomever chose the "can't hack it in Boston" people for the accompanying artwork that Matt Clement had a MAJOR SHOULDER INJURY. What an obnoxious and ignorant thing to imply.

Anyway. Still loving the blog.

I love reading your articles, but why oh why is it so difficult to get to them?

You refer on Friday to your article "It a story in The Eagle-Tribune today breaking down why some guys can play in Boston where others can't."

No link I can find, not listed on the right under recent articles, and it sure is not easy to find your articles on that awful E-T web page.

I don't get it.

If it's too much work to find it, there are certainly other things one could choose to do instead.

Hey Rob -- love the blog. Keep it up!

Also, could you please promise to keep us posted on the planned dates of Lester's rehab starts in Greenville? I'm within driving distance and hope to get there to see him, but getting detailed A-ball news from local sources down here is nearly impossible, and NESN has begun their in-season pattern of randomly blocking Sox-related news programming from my dish. You're my only hope! Thanks!!

Bradford didn't give Farrell his "MVP" just because he'll talk to him, did he?

Hi Rob,

I was wondering about the first time Matsuzaka is going to have to plunk someone in retaliation.... to protect his Red Sox teammates.

Do you know if that kind of stuff happens in Japan?

That's a great article; some really great quotes from past and present Sox players.

To some extent, I think the pressure of playing in Boston is overblown, but I do believe it is an important factor. We're a pretty rabid fanbase, which is kind of like a double-edged sword. It means the players will never have to fear being in an empty, silent ballpark, but it also means we can seem a bit too zealous at times. It isn't a good or bad thing--it's just the way it is.

Of course, not all of that frenzy is fan-created. A lot of it stems from a demanding and sometimes spiteful media too.
