Contract talk

A synopsis from Terry Francona, Theo Epstein and Curt Schilling regarding the announcement that the the pitcher won’t be talking contract until after the season:- Schilling obviously disappointed. Schill nods … then smiles

This just in … Curt Schilling got his throwing in, including some batting practice. When he was walking off, towards the clubhouse one fan yelled, “Re-sign him!” The comment made Schilling, yes, nod and smile.Sox chairman Tom Werner did weigh in, saying “I don’t think Mariano Rivera will pitch for the Red Sox next season, but I do think Curt Schilling will.”Theo Epstein is going to speak around noon …By … continued »

No offer for you (Updated)

Curt Schilling just told WEEI that he will be filing for free agency after the season because the Red Sox have informed him they won’t negotiate during spring training or the season. It is curious considering the Red Sox have executed their fair share of extensions during the past few seasons, such as Coco Crisp, David Ortiz, and Josh Beckett.
