We should know tonight.
There are primaries in Vermont and Rhode Island, but all eyes will be on Texas and Ohio where the vast majority of delegate spots are at stake. Polls out this morning showed New York Sen. Hillary Clinton holding onto a slight lead in both. And her words and demeanor at appearances Monday made it seem like she’d received a confidence booster.
Many Democrats, it seems, would like the contest to go on a little longer, if only so Barack Obama gets a more thorough vetting before being declared the party’s standard-bearer.
A convincing win by Obama in either Texas or Ohio could mean curtains for the Clinton candidacy, however.
