Politicians are using blogs and YouTube to advance their campaigns, and now members of the punditocracy are striking back using the same tools.
Take a look at this Wichita Eagle video editorial spoofing the conservatism of Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback, one of the lower-tier candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.
The Brownback character, you’ll notice, is based on the Church Lady from “Saturday Night Live.” Posted on YouTube, Wichita Eagle opinion editor Philip Brownlee reports he’s already received several requests for interviews. (But no calls from talent scouts. Brownlee appears in the piece as one of the background dancers.)
