Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka (right upper trapezius strain) began his rehab stint with the Pawtucket Red Sox today, pitching 2.1 scoreless inning against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in Rochester. He allowed four hits and one walk while striking out three batters. He threw 47 pitches, 30 for strikes.
