Mike Garofalo, a long-time Democratic activist, announced last week that he is endorsing Democrat Dennis Kucinich for president.
Garofalo served as the Salem Democratic Town Committee chairman for 12 years, and as the Rockingham County committee’s chairman and vice chairman. He served on the New Hampshire campaign staff of Gov. Mike Dukakis in 1988, and as Sen. Paul Tsongas’ New Hampshire campaign co-chairman in 1992.
“When I analyzed all of the candidates running for president, only one candidate rose to the top,” Garofalo said in a prepared statement. “I truly believe that the voters of N.H. will hear and will welcome Congressman Kucinich’s message of ‘Strength through Peace’ as our pathway to leaving Iraq, and they will embrace his national, not-for-profit health care plan.”
