For the next week Bill Richardson won’t step foot in New Hampshire, but his presence, and even parts of his stump speech, will be heard throughout the state.
Race car drivers Bobby Unser Sr. and Al Unser Sr. will tour 20 locations in the state to brag about Richardson’s record in New Mexico and discuss why they’re supporting him in the primary. Both men have won the Indianapolis 500 more than once, and Richardson’s campaign has dubbed the tour “The New Hampshire 500 Tour.”
The tour kicks off on Wednesday at Nashua Harley-Davidson on Route 101A in Merrimack at 4:45 p.m. On Thursday, the two racers will be at the Puritan Backroom in Manchester at 11:15 a.m. They’ll work their way up to northern parts of New Hampshire over the rest of the week.
