It looks like Stephen Colbert will have to stick to his day job.
The comedian has dropped out of the race for president, The Associated Press reported today. The announcement came after the South Carolina Democratic Executive Council voted last week to keep him off the state’s primary ballot.
Colbert, a native of South Carolina, is the host of “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central. He is also the author of the book, “I Am America (And So Can You!).”
