On her road to possibly becoming the first woman president, Hillary Clinton has another female “first” helping her. Madeleine Albright will visit campuses in New Hampshire this week to campaign for Clinton and her plan to restore America’s leadership in the world.
Albright was the first woman to be appointed U.S. Secretary of State and, at that time in 1997, was the highest ranking woman in the history of the government. In her position, Albright promoted American trade and labor, environmental and labor standards abroad | all things that Clinton will also have to achieve in order to carry out her plan to restore the United States’ role as the world’s leader.
Albright will discuss Clinton’s campaign on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Anselm College Institute of Politics in Manchester, then again on Thursday at 11 a.m. at a World Affairs Council of New Hampshire luncheon at the Southern New Hampshire University hospitality center.
