Congressman Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., became the first candidate to officially put his name on the ballot for the New Hampshire presidential primary.
Tancredo filed his candidacy on the second day of eligibility this morning in Concord. Other candidates have until Nov. 2 to file the paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office. The date for the primary has still yet to be determined.
The event is part of a week-long campaign by Tancredo in the Granite State. The congressman will make an appearance this afternoon at Plymouth State University, speaking at 2:15 p.m. in a town meeting in the campus’s multi-purpose room in Hartman Union Building.
Tancredo also has two appearances planned on Friday: a meet-and-greet at Tea Bird’s Cafe in Berlin at noon and an appearance at the Ronald Reagan GOP Dinner at 6 p.m. in Whitefield.
Tancredo’s week concludes with a public appearance at the annual Londonderry GOP Breakfast at the Yard Restaurant in Manchester at 9 a.m.
