Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo has always been a loyal supporter of gun owners and their right to bear arms. On Sept. 23, he put his money where his mouth was, picking up his guns and heading to Keene.
Tancredo was the celebrity participant in the first ever county Republican shoot, hosted by the Cheshire County Republicans. Armed with a Remington 12-gauge shotgun and a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver, the Colorado Congressman outshot 40 other people to capture eighth place in the inaugural event.
The event was created by Juliana Bergeron, chairwoman of the Cheshire County Republicans, who invited the noted gun enthusiast to be a celebrity shooter in the event. In addition to Tancredo, the campaigns of Mitt Romney, Rudy Guiliani, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee were represented at the event.
