Sen. Joe Biden is coming to Southern New Hampshire soon, according to his press secretary.
Biden, who has yet to visit the area during his campaign, plans to attend the Salem Democrats’ Fall Gala on Oct. 26. That same weekend, Biden also has a trip to Nashua planned and other visits in the works, according to Evan Carlson, his New Hampshire press secretary.
“He’s tried to get all over the state, but we’re going to try to spend some more time down there,” Carlson said.
Biden will be in the state this weekend to attend the Coos County Democrats’ Harry Truman Dinner in Shelburne, where he’ll be the guest speaker. The Truman Dinner is the third largest Democratic dinner in the country and offers a great opportunity for Biden to reach influential Democrats in the state, Carlson said.
Although Biden has had limited visits to the state, he recently launched a New Hampshire for Joe Biden Web site.
