I hear there’s a movement to save the show and I want to write about it.
If you’ve never heard of “Jericho,” it’s a CBS drama set in a small Kansas town that survives a severe nuclear attack on the United States. Great ensemble cast. One of the best dramas on TV.
Would love to talk to some local, Eagle-Tribune circulation area fans who are passionate about seeing the show return for a second season.

NKOTB reunites (or, New Kids On The Block for the tragically unhip).
The X-Files live again in a movie.
Sex in the City will also see a comeback in a movie.
A Clinton is running for office.
And 90210 is set to return to the tube.
This is weird, right?

I have a friend who calls cooking shows “food porn” and I have to say — she’s totally right.
I’ve watched people make amazing dishes on these TV shows. I think the point is to get you to make it yourself at home.
I think I’ll stick to toast — and perhaps my specialty — burnt scrambled eggs.
I used to think I was alone in my lack of culinary skill –then I saw professional chefs make Gordon … continued »

Just got this note from a reader named Danielle:
Hi! I love your story about Ashley and wanted to see if you could get your readers to support her on the America’s Prom Queen section of the website: http://abcfamily.go.com/abcfamily/path/section_Shows+AmericasPromQueen/page_Blogs
People are voicing their support for the contestants and I want Ashley to get all the support she deserves!!
I’ll go to the site, Danielle — hopefully others will too . . .

Last night’s episode was heavy on the drama.
I felt like the judges set up everyone’s criticism of Macy, and then punished the contestants for it — everything seemed a little unfair. I was a little surprised they didn’t say something about it to the North Andover contestant, Ashley Arillotta.
I’m not saying Macy deserved the harsh criticism — but in truth, neither did Samantha.

Kyle recently made this comment on my “North Andover’s Prom Queen” post and I feel like it deserves more discussion:
I don’t get the obsession with prom and prom queens. Maybe it’s a girl thing. Whatever, no one watches ABC Family anyway.
I think the obsession comes from Prom being a right of passage. Prom Queen? Who doesn’t like to win things. That’s my take.
What do you guys think?

For those of you who’ve missed the stories, here’s the scoop: North Andover High senior Ashley Arillotta is competing on the reality show “America’s Prom Queen.”
Arillotta threw her tiara into the ring with 10 other girls on the ABC Family show. Last week, she competed in a fashion challenge — she had to design a dress and work the runway with a partner.
This week, her dancing will be tested. Rumor has it, there was some … continued »

Ashley Arillotta
Ashley Arillotta is competing on the ABC Family show “America’s Prom Queen.”
The North Andover High senior designed her own prom dress in four hours and then rocked a runway with a girl she met and helped dress 15 minutes before.
Next she’ll have to prove she can dance.
The spunky brunette survived the first challenge — I think she can take home the final crown.

Glad that they gave Marketa Irglova time to say her piece.
If you missed it, the winner for Best Song, along with Glen Hansard from the film “Once,” was music-overed when she got to the mike.
If you cut down just a little on the retrospectives, people, everyone would have a enough time to thank people.

Old Navy, of course.
So much fashion, so little time.
My thoughts:
Jennifer Garner looked amazing in her strapless black dress. But what was up with her hair? I wanted to reach through the television and offer her a bobby pin. I mean really, aren’t there some hair and makeup people backstage?
Ambivalent about Anne Hathaway’s dress. Like the color, like the roses, not digging the shoulder drape. This is why less is more.
Love Katherine Heigl’s dress. Red, off … continued »
