Boston Casting is looking for a couple of nicer cars (re: Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, etc.) from before 1993 for a shoot tonight for The Fighter.
They want people to work as extras with their cars. You may be asked to drive the car in a shot, or they may park your car and use you as [...]

Michael Chiklis talks about being green
Posted in Celebrity, Culture and Society on May 29th, 2009 Comments
Here’s an interesting blog post about green celebrities in Hollywood.
On the list is Andover native Michael Chiklis. He says his uncle owned and operated the first solar plant in Massachusetts.
It’s an interesting blurb — and love the cute photo of Chiklis and his daughter Autumn.
Hi readers.
The internet was all atwitter this week, with news that Christian Bale signed on to “The Fighter.”
The film is set to star Mark Wahlberg as Mickey Ward, the famous Lowell boxer. Bale will play his half brother and trainer, according to Variety.
Does this mean the dynamic duo will be Lowell to film this summer? [...]
West Newbury WWE wrestler John Cena was recently named the first celebrity to join the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Wish Ambassador Council, led by basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Cena is one of the foundation’s most requested wish granters.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. It estimates that 27,000 U.S. children fall into [...]
The Merrimack Valley in general, and Andoverites in particular, are a little outraged. Favorite son Jay Leno, has been knocked by Channel 7-WHDH.
The station has vowed not to run Leno’s new primetime show this fall. Instead they plan on starting a 10 p.m. newscast. Why? In my opinion, it’s all about the Benjamins.
When local stations [...]

Two Valley natives collide: Jay Leno of Andover hosts West Newbury native John Cena on the “Tonight Show.”
In case you missed the meeting, here’s a clip:
I have to say readers, I have one of the best jobs here at the paper. I write about arts and entertainment — all things fun.
Because of my “beat” I recently had the chance to interview WWE superstar John Cena. Cena grew up here in the Merrimack Valley, right in West Newbury.
I sat down with [...]
In case you missed last night’s episode, it was all about the early crushes and romantic entanglements of the roommates on the series.
While a lot of time was spent on the romantic intensions of Baya and Ryan, the episode also focused a great deal on our local celebrity, Scott Herman.
Devyn, the house’s former Miss America [...]
