About

Finding out what the Merrimack Valley does for fun has been a mission of Rosemary Ford’s since she became a full-time Arts and Entertainment reporter at The Eagle-Tribune in 1998.
She started working for the Tribune as a high school writer for St. Mary’s in Lawrence. After graduating from Boston College in 1996, Rosemary returned to the paper as an editorial assistant. She covered the town of North Reading for a year and then joined the Features staff.
Today, Rosemary is responsible for covering everything fun: theater, art, film, television and music.
Yes, it’s a tough job — Rosemary knows she’s lucky to do it. Over the years she’s had the chance to work on some amazing stories: visiting Jay Leno on the set of the “Tonight Show,” covering the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City and the Miss Universe Pageant in Panama.
When stars make their way to the Hub, Rosemary is also there. She’s interviewed Dennis Quaid, Sigourney Weaver, Will Ferrell, Kate Bosworth, Nicolas Cage, Oliver Stone, James Cameron, Mickey Rooney, Mark Wahlberg and Julie Andrews, to name a few.
However, Rosemary also kept her finger on the local pulse, updating readers about what celebrities with local ties are up to, like Leno, Michael Chiklis, Sam Waterston and Donna Murphy.
