This season of “American Idol” will be different from past incarnations in many ways (goodbye, Simon Cowell; hello, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler). One of the lesser known changes is that this is the first season where the Fox reality singing competition accepted online auditions. To reflect that rule change, The Eagle-Tribune has decided to hold its own Idol-related contest. Today through Feb. 16, you can e-mail us at photolab@eagletribune.com with your own 40-second Idol-style singing audition video, along with your name, age and hometown. We’ll judge all of the entries and award prizes for first place and runners-up. We’ll also post some of the videos on our website, eagletribune.com.
