Topsfield Fair!

News about this year’s fair:

Plans for the 191st Topsfield Fair are being finalized and deeply discounted advance sale admission and ride tickets are now on sale at the fairgrounds Admissions Office and at several local venues, including The Eagle-Tribune. The fair this year opens on October 2 at 4  p.m. and runs October 3-12, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Good any day” individual admission tickets can be purchased for $8, a savings of $2 on weekdays and $4 on weekends and Columbus Day, or, $7 if 100 or more tickets are purchased at a time. Ride tickets are available, a strip of eleven rides for $19 for the Fiesta Shows midway.

A three-day admission pass is also available for $21.  The advanced sale tickets will be on sale starting this week and running through September 30. On Senior Citizen Day, October 6, those age 60 and over will pay $7 admission.

The discounted tickets will also be on sale at all branches of the First National Bank of Ipswich; Crosby’s Markets; Dawson’s True Value in Topsfield and Beverly; the offices of the Salem Evening News, Gloucester Daily Times and Newburyport Daily News; Cherry Farms Creamery, The Butchery, Gibney Gardens and Clark’s Farm in Danvers; Tucker’s Farm Family Diner in Gloucester; Wolf Hill Nursery in Gloucester and Ipswich; Rivers Edge Gift Shop and Zodiac Paint5s in Ipswich; Newburyport Five Bank in Newburyport, Salisbury and Amesbury and Smith Ace Hardware in Rockport.

Tickets are also available at the fairgrounds office (978-887-5000) for the LeAnn Rimes concert at 6 p.m. on October 10 in the arena ($35.00, $120 for a “Four-Pack”) and the Jeff Corwin Live-Animal Show on October 10 in the arena at 11 a.m. ($15.00, $48. for a “Four-Pack”)

This year’s fair, “Go Green With Us”, will feature the Colgate Country Showdown on October 3; Grupo Fantasia on October 4; Heidi Newfield on October 5; Shana Stack and Fast Lane on October 6; SheDaisy on October 7, North Sea Gas on October 8 and the Flying Wallendas on October 10-12, all in the grandstand.

The fair will also feature the Rawhide Rodeo on October 7 and 8 in the arena at 7:30 p.m., and Figure 8 Racing at 3:30 p.m. in the arena followed by a demolition derby at 7:30 p.m. on the final day of the fair, Columbus Day, October 12.
