Local bansd Jake And The Jakes are set to release their third studio disc (fourth overall) on June 19th at Uncle Eddies in Salisbury.
Their new disc titled “Back in Black and White” will feature seven new songs by the power trio.
”Back in Black and White” is being mastered by Joel Simches of www.sonicenhancement.com.
Jake and the Jakes have been hard at work the past year in developing their three-piece sound to fit nicely into the studio format and the structure within the new songs.The CD release show is being hosted by Uncle Eddies at 8 Ocean Front on Salisbury Beach in Salisbury, Mass., on Friday, June 19th, 2009.
It will feature Onebigmess and Bullethead as opening acts. Both bands are very close friends with Jake and the Jakes. This show will be 21+ and there is a $5 cover charge.
Jake and the Jakes have been together since December 2005. Their previous two studio releases in their catalog “Everything’s Jake” and “Last Call” have both been well received by critics.
The debut and sophomore releases landed both into the top 10-radio play as reported by The Noise Magazine. This is determined by a compiled list of college and commercial radio play for that given month locally.
The band is poised and ready to launch into a full swing summer/fall/winter tour schedule to support their new effort.
