U.S.A. Women’s Futsal team fundraiser

For those of you who don’t know, futsal is the only FIFA (that is Fédération Internationale de Football Association)-approved indoor soccer in the world. It’s a 5 vs. 5 game (4 field players and a goalie) played on a basketball court-type playing field with no walls. It emphasizes ball control and fast decision-making and is the form of indoor soccer that the rest of the world plays (us silly Americans are behind the ball on this one).
Recently, the U.S.A. Women’s Futsal Team was formed out of the American Futbolito training facility in Danvers, Mass. The women’s team is training for upcoming domestic and international competitions. Because the women’s program is a new program, currently the team is not fully funded and is in need of some funds to help defray the costs of travel.
How can you help the team? Come dance the night away at Market Bar. The team will keep the place rocking until close! There will be a cash bar and DJ. Food will also be available to purchase. The cover charge goes directly to support the Women’s Futsal Team in their effort to become a world powerhouse! If you’re feeling generous and want to give a little extra there will be no objection from the team! There will also be raffle drawings with some sweet prizes.
