West Newbury WWE wrestler John Cena was recently named the first celebrity to join the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Wish Ambassador Council, led by basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Cena is one of the foundation’s most requested wish granters.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. It estimates that 27,000 U.S. children fall into that category. Last year the group granted a record 13,425 wishes.
