The House of Blues is auctioning off some tickets for the big exclusive Grand Opening celebration on February 21, 2009 at the new Boston venue located at 15 Lansdowne Stt.
The Blues Brothers Formal Classic Revue with Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi and others will perform along with a tribute to Jimi Hendrix by a band formed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and a performance by Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters.
The charity auction tickets are the only chance to purchase tickets to this exclusive event. 100 percent of net proceeds from the auction will go to support the International House of Blues Foundation, a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to promoting cultural understanding and creative expression through music & art.
Each auction package includes 2 passes to attend Grand Opening Night with the legendary Blues Brothers, 2 commemorative posters, access to the entire venue including Foundation Room, gourmet appetizers and complimentary beverages plus a one night hotel stay on February 21 at one of the following Starwood Hotels: Sheraton Boston, Westin Copley or Le Meridien Cambridge.
