As many of you local readers might now, former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Brooke Smith has some connections to Plum Island, near Newburyport, Mass.
I’ve written about this great actress, who you might also remember from “Silence of the Lambs” as well as a host of other good stuff (go ahead, check it out).
I was little surprised when she was suddenly fired from “Grey’s” late last year. I thought her character was interesting, though in truth I didn’t buy the on-screen relationship with Callie (Sara Ramirez).But firing seems harsh.
However, I was totally shocked when, late last week, the blogsphere went a little crazy, after the ABC press conference at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
