Kyra Sedgwick returns in the hit series as Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson.

I recently saw the first episode, “Good Faith,” which resolves many of the cliffhangers from last season. I don’t want to spoil it for die hard fans. Suffice to say, the magic is still there.

The neurotic chief returns to solve a suicide that isn’t a suicide, and not exactly a murder, while getting her personal and professional lives in order.

And of course, there’s a lot of snacking going on. Yes, the food porn is bad for those of us who are grasping onto those New Year’s Resolutions.

In the second episode of the season, “Power of Attorney,” there’s a twist many won’t see coming. Unlike many episodes, the suspect in question is caught and in custody. It’s keeping him there that’s the issue. It’s a real nail bitter.

Gosh this is hard to write about without revealing details. Let me know if you have questions, or what you think when these episodes air.

    No problem.
Let’s say there is wedding drama, a suicide that isn’t a suicide, and an unexpected hospitalization.
