The clever folks over at Acting Out will be staging a special “Willy Wonka: The Musical” in at Andover’s Old Town Hall starting Dec. 12. For times and tickets click here.
The show stars local children and adults, in a colorful version of the popular story, made famously into two movies.
What makes the folks at Acting Out so clever: they teamed with Ye Olde Pepper Companie in North Andover for a candy contest. They hid five golden tickets in chocolate bars sold by the company. Each ticket finder wins a chance at a cameo appearance in “Willy Wonka.”
It’s generated interest in both the group and the show.
Willy Wonka and his two favorite oompa loompas (also known as Dave Cook and his sons Sam, Alan and Brian) visited The Eagle-Tribune today for a photo shoot. The three road unicyles, in costume, around our studio.
