PORTSMOUTH, NH – The New Hampshire Film Festival has a new sponsor this year: Override.
And to help kickoff this new partnership, Override is sponsoring a filmmaking contest that asks filmmakers to make a 60 second film that tells the Override story.
Override is network of retailers including Irving Oil, Shaw’s Supermarkets and Dunkin’ Donuts that helps customers lower their price of gas at the pump in the Northeast.

For those of you who’ve seen today’s paper, I wrote a story about the upcoming Artist Expo in Lawrence next Thursday. Here is a Q&A interview with one of the featured acts, Tony Enos.
Me: Where are you from?
Tony: I am born and raised in Philadelphia.
Me: How did you get into music?
Tony: I’ve been singing and performing since I was 2. Then when I was 14, I started dancing and choreographing professionally. So my music got put on the back burner for a while. It wasn’t ’til my mid teens that I really started to break away from the dance industry and concentrate on being a recording artist.

The three bands rocked Lowell, Mass., last night. Our intern Greg West attended with his little brother (in a G-Unit shirt).
Here’s what Greg had to say about the show — check back later, we’ll have photos:
Last night, the show at the Lowell Memorial Theater was “Back to the Future” all over again. I relived the ’90s, and how sweet that experience was. Collective Soul, Blues Traveler, and Live gave an awesome performance.
Collective Soul started the show, and played, among others, some of their more well known songs, such as “Shine,” “Hollywood” and “December.”

Untold stories, deleted scenes, alternate endings, sneak peaks — all these await on the eagerly anticipated ‘Heroes ‘ disc.
I have to say, I love this show — though I didn’t like season 2 as much as season 1. However, I may have to snag this, maybe those alternate endings were better? I didn’t even catch the season finale.
