   Seriously, I bought a dress with shoulder pads at the mall the other day. I thought it looked good BUT THERE WERE SHOULDER PADS.

   Culture goes in 15-20 year cycles. in the 70’s we had Happy Day’s, American Graffiti, and Shanana,( 50’s early 60’s) in the 80’s we had Classic Rock and theWonder Years,( 60’s early ,70s) in the 90’s That 70’s Show and a Disco revival. ( 70’s) makes sense that now were back in the 90’s.

   All the people with money are in their 30’s and 40’s and want to re live their teen’s and 20’s.

   Hey, I’m ready for a 90s revival! (Count me in as somebody in her 30s who’s having nostalgia for her early 20s). I’m in the middle of an X-Files marathon on DVD. I hope the new movie doesn’t stink. It’s hilarious to see the boxy cars and enormous cell phones in the old episodes.

   I’ll be honest, my expectations are pretty low. I hear creator Chris Carter is trying to make a movie that works for people who’ve never seen the series as well as the die hard fans.
   Usually when movie makers say this, something very mediocre results.
   I also think in this day and age it’s kind of unnecessary. X-Files plays all over cable in reruns and as you aptly pointed out, there are always the DVDs.
   I think people who are interested enough will do their homework and those that aren’t probably wouldn’t see it (or would see it and not care anyway).
