Hi Rosemary, nice to read from you.
Oh and truth...that sounds like the justice and liberty stuff, though. I like the spirit edifying stuff...from the inside. Ahh and live to learn from one another....no strife with life. Thanks for the encouragement.
Will do something about it...hmm.

Love, joy, understanding, compassion, harmony. faith, hope, peace. How about making flags that state a mission of possibilities to share while we're here being God's people?

I agree. I remember doing a story about peoples' mood just before we invaded Iraq, and I think public opinion has changed radically.
Maybe people are more apathetic now because the perception is that things are better, or that the end is in sight.
I think the reality is, we'll be paying for this war for a very long time -- literally and figuratively.

Seeing the difference in the attitude towards the peace rally in Newburyport over the past few years ( they started the rally the week the war started, and have been in Market Square every Sunday since) has been telling. At first they were met with cat calls , and hand gesters, they were called traitors , cowards and unamerican, as time went on people's reactions have warmed to them quite a bit. Lots of honking and waving, shouts of thank you replacing insults. Now people are mostly indifferent, like they don't want to reminded the wars still going on.
I would be interested in what people who supported the war think about the protesters. I think regardless of your politcal bent, it's hard to deny the bravery of those who spoke out against the war at it's start when it was very popular.

We in Haverhill put some art work in our park adding a heart over the peace symbol to include love as part of it's message. There's an expression I like
"No God, no peace
Know God, know peace"
True thought I believe is good

I find it very encouraging to see an awareness for people to bring forth involvement for more peace activity. The strife of differences doesn't make peace happen anymore that easily.
