Britney’s woes

Maybe I shouldn’t start blogging about Britney. I fear I might never stop, because there seems to be no end to the tragedies that befall this former American idol.

However, I feel compelled to say: Thank goodness her parents have stepped in to take control of the situation. Maybe they aren’t perfect, but having Britney committed seems to be the right move.

Getting a restraining order against her manager/pal Sam Lufti seems to be another step in the right direction. While the strange things her father alleges (the restraining order portrays him as a Svengali figure who held her a virtual hostage in her home, drugged her, took over her finances and controlled the ravenous paparazzi “like a general,” according to the Associated Press) may not be true, it’s pretty obvious this girl needed help and wasn’t getting it in her present situation.

It seems daily, if not hourly, there was some new tale of woe — missing court dates, losing custody, having meltdowns, crying in public.

Enough is enough. Hopefully her time in the hospital will help her get herself back together so she can live a happy, healthy life with her children.

ugh….enough already. Can we focus on someone else for a while? If I heard Britney less than 5 times a day I consider myself blessed.

I agree with Greg. I’ve heard enough about her. I don’t think she’ll ever be the same Britney that everyone could at least somewhat like. Now everyone’s just waiting to see what she’ll screw up next.
Everyone should just leave her alone and she should try to stay out of the spotlight for a while.

True. Though I was incredibly disappointed she was released so soon from the hospital after being admitted. What were they thinking?
