I am so lost in ‘Lost’

I am a huge “Lost” fan. I watched the show from the beginning. Last night I even watched the “catch up” episode.
In truth, I didn’t need it | I remember it all.
You have to remember things on this show — if you don’t memorize and dissect every detail, you might miss a vital clue that would finally lead to answer.
Still, those memories did not prepare me for this episode of ‘Lost.’ I still have no idea what the heck is going on.
Where do The Others come from?
Who are the rescuers and are they really there to rescue?
What’s going on with this island?
This is so frustrating. And the “flash forwards” to the future aren’t helping my confusion.
They more we see what happens to the “Oceanic Six” when they return the more I wonder what the heck happened.
I guess I’ll have to keep watching and find out.
If someone knows what’s going on here, feel free to share. It’s driving me nuts.

I watched firste season and got completely hooked. Then I tried to rent 2nd season from Blockbuster but it’s like 3 episodes per rental and I had to stop like halfway through the 2nd season. I loved it so much and want to catch up with it. It’s such a good show.
