The WGA granted the awards show a waiver today, meaning
Presenters will be funny
No picket lines and no boycotting
Yea!
Maybe I’m optimistic, but I hope this means the strike is close to being over. Soon I may be forced to watch “American Gladiator.”

I just don’t get it.
Miley Cyrus is talented. She’s cute. If I was a little girl, I might even like the “Hannah Montana” TV show.
But such love? Such obsession? Where does it come from? And why?
There are other talented performers. There are other trendsetters. Why Miley? Why Hannah?

CBS just ordered episodes of a Canadian cop drama called “Flashpoint,” which starts shooting in Toronto in April.
For the fall. A new show.
So, the scribes for this show aren’t part of the WGA? Because they’re Canadian? Are they scabs? Is this even legal?
I don’t know what’s going on here, but if the networks can start making shows in Canada, I feel like this strike will never end. This seems really fishy.
