The show before the show

Well, the red carpet arrivals at the Screen Actor’s Guild have come and gone. I watched them on E! and I have to say, the interviews were pretty dry and very repetitive.
Enough with the “You have a great body, how do you do it?” versus “How do you manage not to appear drunk and drooling on every tabloid cover?”
I mean really, how many interesting answers can people have to these questions? Who’s going to come out and say — “I am so skinny because I have an eating disorder” or “I avoid tabloids by only getting drunk alone at home.”
I was so bored. And I admit it — I yearned for Joan Rivers.
Sure, there were times when I watched her red carpet coverage and wanted to wince at every other word that came out of her mouth.
But hey, at least she was funny.
As boring as the interviews were, the dresses, at least were interesting. My favorites were Sandra Oh’s gown, inspired by traditional Korean garb, and Rebecca Gayheart’s red, ruffled number by Marchesa. They both looked stunning.
By the way, As I write this, I am wearing black jeans by Old Navy and Green T-shirt from Target.
