They’re so honored . . . .

The nominees have been generous with their thanks after this morning’s Academy Award nods.
Here’s what they’re saying:
Paul Thomas Anderson, director, “There Will Be Blood:”
“I’m delighted that `There Will Be Blood’ has been recognized by the Academy. These nominations are a testament to the cast and crew, who I am deeply grateful to, for their talent and collaboration. I am also very appreciative of the continued support from both John Lesher and Daniel Battsek and their staff. It’s a thrill to be in this.”
Casey Affleck, actor, “Jesse James:”
“It is an honor to be recognized by the Academy and to be included in such a talented group of actors. With the help of Andrew Dominic and Brad Pitt, JESSE JAMES was an incredible experience.”
Tony Gilory, writer/director, “Michael Clayton:”
“It’s been a long road for Michael Clayton and a long road for me personally. I’m supposed to be good at describing things but I’m afraid I’m coming up short this morning trying to capture how honored and overwhelmed I am with these nominations. I’m incredibly grateful to the Academy voters and to everyone involved in making the film. Special thanks to Sydney Pollack, Jen Fox, Kerry Orent, Samuels Media, our amazing cast - George, Tilda and Tom - and to the most remarkable crew and craftspeople a first-time director could ever have.
Tilda Swinton, actor, “Michael Clayton:”
“I am tickled pink at the nomination - this film has been such a labor of love and I am very proud of it. I couldn’t be happier for our entire cast and crew and am thrilled for Tony, George and Tom. I’m celebrating with my family today and couldn’t think of a better place to be when I got the news.”
Hal Holbrook, actor, “Into the Wild:”
“I am grateful. Enormously grateful. Grateful to Sean Penn who gave me the role and directed this beautiful film, and grateful to Emile Hirsch - we really should share this nomination because we worked together. And grateful that after all these years of acting, I got a shot at a recognition like this from the Academy. Miraculous. “
