North Andover resident honored by ECAC football

North Andover’s J.T. Harold, a junior running back who attended Austin Prep, was honored for his big day on Saturday for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth football team.
 The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Harold the Div. III New England Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Fitchburg State last Saturday.

Gr. Lawrence Tech hires Dan Habib as boys hoop coach

Greater Lawrence Tech sent out a fax today announcing their new boys basketball coach.
If you’ve been around the Merrimack Valley over the last 25 years, you’ve heard the name before: Dan Habib.
The announcement is effective immediately, as Habib, is replacing four-year coach Chet Jackson, who is now an Assistant Principal at North Andover High School.

Early season big game: St. John’s Prep vs. Central Catholic

Amid the excitement at last night’s Pinkerton-Manchester Central, won by Pinkerton, 30-21, in the final seconds, was the play of the quarterbacks.
