Let’s get the news of the night out immediately at Methuen High, where baseball coach Dave Fabrizio is stepping down.
Fabrizio has been trying to serve a couple masters, tending to his administrator’s job in the North Andover schools, while attempting to run the Ranger program.
The burden has just grown, and Fabrizio decided what is best for him.
Don’t expect too huge a search. Former coach Eric Cyr, who did a great job at the helm and most recently assisted Fabrizio, is expect to take over the reins this spring.
We’ll have much more on this later in the week in The Eagle-Tribune.

Hit the court a little tonight for Lawrence and Andover, where the Lancers rolled.
Andover couldn’t handle the Lancer quicks. The Warriors, who looked like such a well-oiled machine early in the year, are still trying to place parts together there.
Lawrence looked dynamite.
I could go on. Lancer coach Paul Neal was livid most of the night with the officiating. I refuse to attack. That’s not my style.
Anyhow, I’m dead tired, I’ll try to check on on Saturday, especially with CC putting up 93 on Tewks.

Good for the Merrimack Valley/Southern New Hampshire All Stars on putting up 93 on Tewksbury!

Wasn’t at the game, but I have to come to Nault’s defense here. It’s not Tyler Nelson, Luis Puello and Co. doing the scoring. The bottom of the roster put the points up.
At some point, you have to be accountable for the product on the floor.
Talked to one knowledgeable hoop guy about Tewks, after he saw them play Lawrence.
He said, “I thought Lawrence was going to shut them out.”
This is more a commentary on Tewks than CC, me thinks.

It usless talking to CC fanatics.

Hector is right.  Central starters certainly played less then half the game and 1/2 the 3rd of the whole 4th period were played by 11 thru 15 and they still put 24 points up.  Nault had them use clock and most of the points were put up on rebounds inside.  All 15 players scored and the only issue I had was with about 25 seconds left CC threw a long inbounds pass to the last player off the bench for a easy basket.  This player had already scored so I thought it was a bad play and looking at Nault he must have thought the same thing because he let those player have it after the play.

Hector, went online to see what time the Andover @ North Andover game on Sunday starts and notice that they are charging $7.  I looked at all the future games and some of the past and they are all $5.  Why the increase in price and is it something that Andover insisted on ($8 bucks vs CC as you know)?

First off it is a varsity doubleheader so you are getting two games for $7 as opposed to $10.  Secondly the two schools split the gate so the increased money goes to both schools.

    Thanks

I will just never understand!!!!!!!!!! Seriously.
Do CC posters go a bit overboard sometimes? Of course. But people like this PeterPan…Christ almighty…what a loser’s mentallity. Never mind the shots at CC…tell us about your team, why you like them, and what they should/ should not be doing.
Tell us about things the head coach is doing, to be sure the upcoming kids do not look to CC, SJP, PA, where ever. Rather than crying like a little school girl about  “…the All Star team”.
Myself and other CC fans are obnoxious…ya, we get it. Tell us something new!

I was sitting behind CC bench. The player had slid behind the defense and was blending into the standing CC players. As soon as the ball was handed off he stepped further onto the court. Ok to me in a close game but not in a blow out.

I agree with Other Side about that last play.  Not needed.

Another change in Methuen? Although this one was much needed. It’s a little ironic that all 3 main sports head coaches at Methuen (Pat Graham, Rich Barden, Dave Fabrizio) all leave in the same school year…
