OK, random thoughts on the hoops in Vegas, hoops and Vegas:
Over the week I developed some serious curiosity about the kids in the Jayhawks program specifically, having seen all five of their games at the 17s level.
All i can say is that I will watch guys like Jake Nelson and Alex Stoyle, Eric Deane and [...]

The Granite State Jayhawks 17s bowed out in the second Championship round of the Nike Main Event here Saturday.
It was a spirited effort. In the early game, the Jayhawks knocked off the Wisconsin force by a dozen.
The Jayhawks, behind a red-hot Ben Bartoldus built a 20-point lead early, pretty sure it was 28-8, but this [...]

Before the game, Andover High boys hoop coach Dave Fazio talked of his program just “turning the page” and starting another chapter.
“We haven’t beaten them since Carson (Desrosiers) walked into their gym,” said Fazio.
Fazio’s Warriors then went out and took it to Desrosiers and the Raiders in the Hoops for Hope David Bradner Memorial Tournament [...]

Had a shot to bring Ollie Longo and a couple friends out to the new par-3 course at Atkinson Country Club. Let’s just say, it dazzled.
Read all about it in Thursday’s Eagle-Tribune. I told Peter Doherty, the Atkinson director of golf, that all I could say was, “Wow!”
For a par-3 course to have character says [...]
