Just a reminder, MVC titles on the line today….

It’s Central at Lowell tonight at 7 p.m. with the MVC title on the line. Each team has three league losses. Central, which looks to claim its second straight league title outright, will most likely send Zach Adamopoulos to the hill, but unlike a lot of the taxed pitching staffs around the region, the Raiders have plenty of fresh options around including southpaws Brian Wolfendale and dependable Pat Noone.

Lawrence, a 5-3 loser to Central the other night, can lay its claim to the MVC small this afternoon at Dracut.

One other to watch is Methuen at Andover today. Not sure what Methuen has left after a long week pitching wise, but Ken Maglio’s Warriors, who got a sparkler in a losing effort against Central from Robin Lowe, have a hungry and fresh John Farrell ready to roll. That’s a 3:30 start.

    Hector, really love the coverage of the MVC small school championship! Lawrence wins its first title in 15 years and NOONE is around to cover it and they get the worlds smallest write up ever! The Mass/NH All-Stars(Central) on the other hand wins back to back and they get their 3rd write up in as many days! Lucky for Lawrence they played them the other night so SOMEONE would cover their game! Honestly to say your loyal to ALL the kids is a joke. If you like one team more than another man up and admit it! By the way why would anyone from Lawrence come to your defense, WHAT DO YOU or YOUR PAPER do for them? I think it would be safe to assume though if there was something negative to report about LHS that would be on the front page! You are the driver in the Central bandwagon, you couldn't wait for the W against Lawrence so that you could run right over to that bench! And on top of all of it you question every move the LHS staff seems to make. Well heres an answer for you, the Lancers did it on their own, with their own kids from our community and with their own hard work, and not with a bunch of kids from surrounding communities. Those kids should be applauded they worked hard and they got the end result, a MVC Championship!

    No one trumpets as loudly as Hector does for the kids(CCHS)…Just ask him.

    Guaran-friggin-teed….If Lawrence beat Central he'd say Central killed themselves with costly mistakes.
