Central Catholic trails Winchester 2-1 through two periods of the must-win Super 8 third game. Winchester jumped out to the lead just 2:08 into regulation, but the Raiders struck right back on a Cam Fisichelli goal on a slap shot from the left faceoff circle 1:10 later.

Pentucket cut the lead to seven with 5:29 remaining, but couldn’t chip away any more. The Sachems are down 52-42 with 2:02 left. Again, Swampscott is raining threes. Allie Beaulieu has 15 points, including three treys. Tara Nimkar has a pair of threes. Jen Cleary has three of them.

Outside chance

Pentucket trails 45-34 after three quarters. The Sachems have woken up on offense, but Swampscott’s outside shooting has been killer. The Big Blue has hit eight threes. Pentucket has zero. That’s the difference. And come on PA announcer. Ask for some help. Kirsten Daamen’s last name is NOT pronounced like Johnny Damon’s.
