Are there any other wrestling fans besides me who are disgusted that the New England wrestling tournament is again in New Haven, Conn.? It’s a city with no high school wrestling, far from the hotbeds of wrestling (particularly the Merrimack Valley) and really a ridiculous drive for Maine athletes.
With Maine considering dropping out of New England, why give them another reason (too expensive to go that far) to drop out?
Also, we’ll never promote the sport better when we hold the biggest tournament so far away.
