It was an easy decision to make, Janice Zenevitch said.

Boston College, which originally offered her daughter Katie a full scholarship over the winter, re-offered in June. New coach Sylvia Crawley, who replaced Cathy Inglese after she resigned in April, hit it off with the Central Catholic center right away.

“Mom, this is so right,” Katie told Janice recently. “Why look anywhere else? They want me. I want them.”

And why wait? Katie verbally committed this weekend.

“She’s 110 percent sure (she wants to go to BC),” Janice said.

In addition to BC, West Virginia, Providence, Holy Cross, Northeastern and Marist had all offered scholarships, Janice said. Duke and Kentucky had also shown interest, she added.
