I laughed at Alan Siegel’s talk of a sellout here at Tsongas, and it probably won’t happen, but this place is nearly-filled and it’s alive.
The Central-Lowell game has been delayed about a half-hour just to get the fans in the building. Friends of mine waited nearly 30 minutes to buy tickets and there are still 100s of fans outside. This is the largest crowd for a high school hoop game that I’ve ever seen.
What an atmosphere. It’s a who’s who of valley hoop in the house.
Let the game begin!
