With 18.3 to play, they call AG for his fifth, a bump away from the hoop that sends Perez of Lowell to the line. Just brutal, stuff, folks. Even Perez was stunned. No Gonzalez and no Wheeler for Central. Perez misses the front end. CD goes to the line for Central, 15.6 to play, misses [...]

Billy Marsden hits a runner with the foul, erasing a 53-52 deficit, making it 55-53. What a shot! Still plenty of time, lowell ball, 24.1 seconds on the clock.

Lowell came out of the break nicely, with an 8-0 run, slashing the margin to 33-32, with Tim Wheeler picking up his fourth foul and Wilfredo Pagan his third immediately. Great move by Central coach Rick Nault, going to a 2-3 zone to slow Lowell down. It may be live or die for Lowell from [...]

The only thing keeping Lowell in it right now are the whistles with Central being “charged” with 14 fouls, compared to Lowell’s seven. Tim Wheeler has three fouls for Central, while guards Billy Marsden and Wilfredo Pagan were hit with two cheapies apiece, missing time. Lowell is a whopping 14-18 from the foul line in [...]
Adrian Gonzalez scores 10 and hits a pair of threes, pushing Central to a 20-10 lead after the first quarter. Lowell’s four turnovers and Carson Desrosiers’ five blocks has Lowell struggling.
An Adrian Gonzalez three makes it 14-10 CC at the 3-minute mark of the first quarter. Great offensive rebound by KB oshodi sets it up, timeout lowell.

The Central-Lowell game has been delayed about a half-hour just to get the fans in the building. Friends of mine waited nearly 30 minutes to buy tickets and there are [...]
