This should’ve been mentioned earlier, but that was one heck of a win by the Central Catholic girls hoop team Sunday. The Raiders toppled Archbishop Williams — the No. 1 team in Eastern Massachusetts, a team that beat Andover this season — 58-53 in the final of the Comcast Tournament at BC High.
Sophomore center Katie Zenevitch won the tourney MVP, scoring 13 points in the final. Senior guard Jackie Vienneau hit a big 3 with less than a minute to go that put the Raiders ahead for good.
Look for Central to make some noise when the state tourney starts up…
Moving on, how nasty was Rajon Rondo’s follow-up dunk against the Nuggets Tuesday night? Got me thinking, have we produced any great dunkers around here?
