Brittney Griner changes all that.
The 6-foot-5 junior center, who plays at Nimitz High in Aldine, Texas, is a ferocious dunker. She has already committed to Baylor University.
While doing some research for an upcoming story on dunking, I came across some highlights of her practicing. Trust me, she can throw it down. Her game also appears to be well-rounded.
In a playoff game Monday night, she finished with 29 points, 14 rebounds, 11 blocks and 9 assists.
So local girls hoop fans, search for her on Youtube. It’s worth it.
