Wednesday night is usually for hockey and for rasslin’, and there’s plenty of that on the local docket this week.
But there’s also a little matter to be settled on the hardwood with two of the state’s premier boys clubs collide, Central Catholic at 7-0 traveling to 9-0 Lowell.
“We’ll surely get the chance to see where we stand,” said Central coach Rick Nault, whose Raiders invade the Riddick Fieldhouse for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
Star caliber players abound on both sides, but all eyes will be on Raider dead-eye Billy Marsden, who missed Friday night’s blowout of Lawrence.
Nault reports Marsden did practice today and will give it a go, noting the recovery was somewhere between 80 and 90 percent.
Who can’t be fired up for this one? Matt Welch, Adrian Gonzalez, Carson Desrosiers, you’re talking star power baby.
Should be a classic!
