Hoops season opens tonight, but let’s talk football …

Just a quick note on the Lawrence High football saga.
Our sources say the Lancers will get one more, last, final, absolutely the end of the run, seasons in the Cape Ann before being forced to move back to the MVC, where it competes in every other sport.
We’ll try and track Lawrence AD Tim Finn down tonight for official confirmation.
The MVC, of course, is trying to add two teams, with its sights set on Malden/Medford, while protecting its flanks.
The goal is 12 teams in football and a small-large, two division breakdown.

    Shame on Haverhill for making excuses for the downfall of their athletic demise….It should all fall on the shoulders of the A.D.
    New blood is needed badly….Get rid of the old and bring in the new…They are off to a good start, hiring Mike Travato…they must keep the ball rolling…Get rid of the AD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lawrence high football players as well as their coach are nothing but a bunch of thugs. the cape ann league should be happy that lawrence high is no longer in their league. from what i hear, their behavior towards the masco players was a disgrace. the good thing was that masco crushed them and put them in their place!!!!!!!!

    Look “Jerry boy” I’m a Lawrence High School ex-football player (Abel Sostre) and I still don’t understand why you and other people in this world call KIDS “thugs” maybe you call them thugs cause they may not have as much money as you or they didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in there mouth???? So relax with the name calling don’t act like a 3year old…..

    P.S. Jerry Boy grow up….!!!!
