A Nate Adames touchdown run with 12 seconds left in the half gave Greater Lawrence a 7-6 lead over East Boston at the half in the Division 3A Super Bowl.
The Reggies took over at their 29-yard line and went on an eight-play drive that Adames capped off when he took a handoff, went off-tackle left and lunged into the end zone for the score. Saul Orellana added the extra-point for the lead.
Eastie had taken the lead on the game’s opening drive when Tyrone Figueroa ran in from 1 yard. But his run for the two-point conversion was no good.
Adames had 13 carries for 68 yards through two quarters. QB Jonathan Delossantos added a big 16-yard run on the drive.
